This cutscene presented a formidable challenge due to the extensive use of next-gen water effects throughout the sequence, which demanded significant resources. Crafting a perilous atmosphere with precise moonlight direction, all while keeping the visual focus on Joel and Ellie, was exhilarating. A special thanks to Elaine Kubik for her exceptional work on the water effects; the river’s ferocity was perfectly balanced with visual clarity. I'm grateful for the team’s tremendous support during this ambitious project—they were instrumental, guiding me every step of the way.
