This is a selection of shots where Joel says goodbye to Bill.
I am both Cinematic Lighting and Environment Lighting Artist for this real-time cutscene.

Remaking the final cutscene of Bill's town was thrilling. I had the privilege of overseeing both character and environment lighting, which was immensely enjoyable. Given that this scene is cinematic rather than playable, it required meticulous attention to camera angles to ensure everything aligned perfectly with the narrative.
This pivotal moment marks the close of Bill's town, timed at nearly full sunset with an approaching storm cloud. Balancing these weather conditions naturally was crucial. Pinpointing the optimal sun angle, selecting the appropriate sky dome color, and crafting the right atmosphere were all critical elements of the environment lighting.
For character lighting, I aimed to create a lasting impression of our beloved character, Bill. I used more sharply angled lighting to sculpt his features and introduced extra saturation to the deep orange-gold hues in the key lights. My goal was to create a scene so vivid that it would linger in your mind even with your eyes closed.
A special thanks to our vehicle specialists who diligently worked on Bill's truck, overcoming challenges with its glass, mirrors, and tires.
